Celebrate Earth Day!

Saturday April 22, 2017

Global Warming Or Climate Change, Do not confuse the two, is it natural or is it produced directly by human activities, maybe it is both. Scientist may not agree on everything but they do agree we are not being a good stewards of our great world. There is no doubt that this world is evolving, ever changing and it has been for a long time with or with out us, Earth will out live us it is about approximately 4.543 billion years old. The question is how do we want to live, or how do we want to this world to look in the next 100 maybe 1000 years or more, will the people in 100 years look back at us as trashy with no respect to the world? What is your part or what is your contribution to being a good steward or Do you live large and leave large carbon footprints? Who is the largest contributor of pollution today?

Introduction to Climate Change

Some people do not believe that these are caused by human activities. They think it is all political and falsehood intended to cause panic among humans.
Well, whatever it is, we would like to know more, and take a few good points from this confusion, and use them to make our world a better place to live.

#1 - Climate change refers to general changes in climate patterns, including temperature, precipitation, winds, and other factors.
#2 - Global warming (as well as global cooling) refers specifically to any change in the global average surface temperature.

Do not confuse the two

Water Pollution    Air Pollution    Land Pollution    Light Pollution

How is your city’s air impacting you?
particulate matter (PM)

Air pollution’s toll on human health,

Some 3 million deaths a year are linked to exposure to outdoor air pollution. Indoor air pollution can be just as deadly. In 2012, an estimated 6.5 million deaths (11.6% of all global deaths) were associated with indoor and outdoor air pollution together.

Nearly 90% of air-pollution-related deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, with nearly 2 out of 3 occurring in WHO’s South-East Asia and Western Pacific regions.

Ninety-four per cent are due to non-communicable diseases – notably cardiovascular diseases, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer. Air pollution also increases the risks for acute respiratory infections.

April 22 is Earth Day, This year’s campaign is all about environmental & climate literacy.
Global warming and magnetic poles changing

NASA Study Goes to Earth's Core for Climate Insights
So how might all three of these variables — Earth's rotation, movements in Earth's core (formally known as the core angular momentum) and global surface air temperature — be related?

Earth’s spin axis has been wandering along the Greenwich meridian since about 2000.

What's in a Name? Global Warming vs. Climate Change
Global warming became the dominant popular term in June 1988, when NASA scientist James E. Hansen had testified to Congress about climate, specifically referring to global warming. He said: "global warming has reached a level such that we can ascribe with a high degree of confidence a cause and effect relationship between the greenhouse effect and the observed warming."4 Hansen's testimony was very widely reported in popular and business media, and after that popular use of the term global warming exploded. Global change never gained traction in either the scientific literature or the popular media.

How can you help? adopt a waterway, adopt a street or a highway or just don't litter. After sponsoring adopt a street for 15 years it will truly humble you, we could not believe the amount of litter people throw on the streets, we also pick up trash underwater on shorelines. When traveling the world it is amazing how some people just don't seem to care how we live, cigarette butts just thrown everywhere and some even cause forest fires, paper cups, plastic bags and the list just goes on, we are producing a toxic environment to live in. Plant a tree, ride bikes, recycle, Please do your part!
